Founded in 1990, the Oxford Finance Society (OFS) is the largest financial careers student society at the University of Oxford, representing over 4,000 members. We aim to promote financial careers to the students of the university, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they require through a diverse range of events run throughout the year. Our alumni have gone on to work for the most prestigious companies in finance.

We run over 100 events every year and our term card is always full with an exciting programme of opportunities. Our workshops and interactive case studies give students hands-on finance experience and the chance to learn from industry professionals. We also host a number of presentations and networking events with our sponsor companies, allowing members to build meaningful connections within the industry.

Dear OFS members,

I hope that you are all doing well, whether you are returning to Oxford or staying at home. The OFS has grown from strength to strength over the past few terms, and I am honoured to be your president for what promises to be an exciting term.

To those of you joining OFS for the first time - students, or prospective speakers and sponsors - a brief introduction: we are the largest finance-based society at Oxford, with well over 4,000 members now.  Membership is free and open to all students at the university. Our goal is to be a trustworthy conduit between students and the world of finance, from arranging exclusive speaker events to providing guidance on securing internships at leading firms, through our unparalleled network of students, alumni and professionals.

We have had an incredible year of engagement so far, from discussions with banking CEOs and top academics to recruiting insight events.  This term’s committee has been working tirelessly to provide the best resources for members.  We have a fantastic term card of speakers, sponsor events, and careers workshops to make sure that there is something for everyone.

As government restrictions ease, I am hopeful that we will be able to hold some in person events again according to guidelines.  Whatever the future may hold, I want to ensure that you as members can engage as much as possible with our opportunities.  If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out at president@oxfordfinancesociety.org.

On behalf of the committee, I hope you enjoy the term ahead and look forward to seeing you at our events.

Best wishes,

June-Ho Chung

For our Sponsors:
